BOARD OF DIRECTORS/ADVISOR TEAMS

President- Ashley Diehl

Summary: Provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for MMC.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate board meetings.
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic guidance.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization.
  • Support fundraising, partnerships, and community relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit governance responsibilities.
  • Work closely with all board chairs to support organizational goals.

Vice President- Samantha Yacenech

Summary: Supports the President and ensures leadership continuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the President with leadership and planning.
  • Step in for the President when unavailable.
  • Support coordination among board members and committees.
  • Help ensure accountability and follow-through on initiatives.

Shelter Medicine Chair (Veterinary Professional)- Accepting Applications

Summary: Provides medical and welfare guidance for TNR and community cat programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on medical protocols for TNR clinics and colony cats.
  • Support clinic planning and animal welfare best practices.
  • Assist with evaluation of medical needs and policies.
  • Provide input on educational materials related to cat health and welfare.

Fundraising & Events Chair- Accepting Applications

Summary: Leads fundraising strategy and events to support MMC programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee fundraising plans and campaigns.
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events (online and in-person)
  • Lead the Fundraising Committee.
  • Support donor engagement, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with leadership on fundraising goals and projections.

Community Outreach / Colony Care Representative- Accepting Applications

Summary: Represents colony caretakers and community voices.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between MMC and colony caretakers.
  • Provide insight into colony needs, barriers, and outreach opportunities.
  • Support education and public awareness related to TNR.
  • Lead the TNR Field Advisors group.
  • Help guide practical, on-the-ground TNR strategies.

Fundraising Committee (Non-Voting Advisors)- Accepting Applications

Led by: Fundraising & Events Chair

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Support donor outreach and stewardship efforts.
  • Help identify sponsorships, grants, and creative fundraising ideas.
  • Promote fundraising efforts within the community and online.
  • Provide feedback and support to the Fundraising Chair.

TNR Field Advisors (Non-Voting Advisors)- Accepting Applications

Led by: Community Outreach / Colony Care Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Offer practical guidance on trapping, transport, and colony management.
  • Share real-world feedback on TNR challenges and successes.
  • Assist with training, mentorship, or education when appropriate.
  • Support humane, safe, and ethical TNR practices.
  • Help identify emerging colony needs and priorities.
